The text for the second edition has been completely updated, but 19 of the original 20 places remain. Additions include: 


one new chapter on Villeneuve Triage, replacing Malesherbes

three new restaurants (Villennes, Villeneuve, Andrésy)  

four new walks (Villeneuve, Andrésy x 2, Montfort)

one new château and park (château de Groussay in Montfort, cover photo)  

three new markets (St Germain-en-Laye, Versailles , Créteil)

one new concert (Ecouen)


Other new features include a Chronology of French Rulers , a table of Best Days to Visit showing which châteaux, museums, markets, restaurants, boat trips are open on which day, and tips on how to navigate French websites in the Practical Details chapter.

There are more colour photos and all the maps have been improved, some showing new bus routes. The ones for Champs, Montfort and Montmorency have been completely re-drawn.
